Jaffa Orange Drizzle Cake

Here’s the recipe for Jaffa Orange Drizzle Cake - courtesy of Phil Tomkinson

140g Butter 

200g Self raising Flour 

1.5 Teaspoons baking powder 

200g golden caster sugar 

3 Eggs 

6 tablespoons milk 

Finely zest one orange 


For the Drizzle 

3 tablespoons orange juice 

50g golden caster sugar 


50g Dark chocolate 



Put all cake ingredients except the zested orange in a bowl and mix well 

When mixed fold in the orange zest

Transfer to a 2lb bread tin

And bake at 160 degrees for one hour check with a skewer when cooked 



Mix orange juice and sugar together and while the cake is still hot make lots of holes over the top of the cake and pore the drizzle mix through the cake 


Melt the chocolate 

And when the cake is completely cool 

Drizzle with melted chocolate
