Social evening golf @ Benfield

Friday 13th May from 5.30pm onwards
Fancy a social 9 holes (or more) of golf after work (or a hard day of rest for the retirees amongst us!). Join in this new style event at Benfield Golf course, Hangleton Lane, BN3 8EB
The golf costs only £5 for as many holes as we can play. The emphasis will be on the social, so it doesn't matter if you haven't played for ages... Clubs are available for hire, or I will try to bring some spares for you if you don't have your own.
This will be followed by drinks at the local hostelry just around the corner, Hangleton Manor.
Please respond here to let me know if you want to join us.  The first event was great fun, and we're looking forward to even more people joining in. Let me know by either signing up on here, or replying on the Golf Facebook forum.  Here's hoping we see you soon.
PS. New date added too for evening golf - Fri 17th June

Welcome new Vice Captain

At the AGM, there was no-one prepared to step into the Vice Captain role and i was asked to approach others that hadn't been able to attend... Im really pleased to say that Ann Kitchener has agreed to step up to the mark; thanks Ann, and welcome to the committee!

Ann will be helping to organise the upcoming events and the weekend away... Details will follow this week...

BLAGSS Golf is an LGBT golf society, with a range of golfers from beginners to low handicappers. Our group's aim is to be welcoming, friendly and supportive, regardless of your ability. We just want more LGBT people to play golf!

The Society operates a handicap system, which enables those who are not members of a Golf Club to have a Society handicap and ensures fairness for our golf days and competitions. If you have a CONGU handicap, please e-mail Lorraine at with any changes, so that the Society records are kept up to date.

Forthcoming Events (please note in your diary and check out below for more information - members, please log in, non-members, please contact Lorraine for more info):

Our events welcome both ladies and men and are held at a variety of courses around the Brighton area, and sometimes farther afield, including a weekend away. We also aim to hold events that cater for those newer to golf as well as more experienced.

If you would like to come along to play, register your interest on any of the events below and ask to join the BLAGSS Golfers Forum Facebook page, which we'll also be using to organize other games and social events throughout the year.
