Social Events

BLAGSS organise a variety of joint social activities throughout the year to enable members of the various sport groups to meet each other.  These include specials for winter and summer gay pride festivals, beach bbq's, occasional pub evenings, a New Year's Party held in January, and a fun 'school sports day', usually held in August.

In addition, sport activity groups also organise their own social events.  These are visible to logged in members on the individual sport pages or details circulated by email.

It's that time of year again! Our annual, big blow-out, Bowling Tournament!

SAVE THE DATE - it's TUESDAY, 6 MARCH.

As usual, we'll be at the Brighton Marina Bowlplex.

The cost is £56 per team. You can have up to 8 people per team, and you get 2 games, so that's only £3.50 per game per person.

PLUS,....you get a great SOCIAL environment! You get to meet other sports-minded people, as well as mingle with other LGBT community groups. Remember, we switch lanes for the second game, so you have double the chance to mingle!! And since we have the whole bowlplex to ourselves, it's going to be really, really gay!

We'll also have our usual raffle!

We will start at 7 pm, going to about 10 pm.

We filled all the lanes last year, so reserve your lane right away!

Please come back to vicechair@blagss.org by 10 February to let me know if you will be submitting a team this year. First come, first reserved. Payment must be made in advance.

Come along to our regular get-together for a drink and chat!

We meet on the first Tuesday of each month, 8 to 10 pm, at The Bedford Tavern at 30 Western Street in Hove, BN1 2PG (from Western Road, it's down from Norfolk Square; from the seafront, it's across from Embassy Court).

Our next social is Tuesday, 7 February. Come along to socialise with your current sports colleagues, or come out to meet some new ones.
